Description
This lot features an O-Gauge model steam locomotive and tender produced by M.T.H. Electric Trains, identified as Item No. 20-3032-1. The model represents a Nickel Plate Road (N.Y.C. & ST. L.) Berkshire 2-8-4 steam locomotive with road number 765. The locomotive and tender are constructed with die-cast metal bodies, die-cast trucks, all metal gears, and metal handrails. The locomotive cab is marked with the number 765 in gold, and the sand dome features the lettering N.Y.C. & ST. L. The tender is marked Nickel Plate Road in stylized gold font on the sides, with the road number 765 on the rear. Internal features include a precision Pittman flywheel-equipped motor and a Proto-Sound digital sound and train control system designed by QSI, which includes squeaking brakes and freight yard Proto-Effects. The engine is equipped with an operating ProtoSmoke system, constant voltage headlight, lighted cab interior with hand-painted metal engineer and fireman figures, and a firebox glow. The tender features a remote controlled Proto-Coupler and an electronic tether for connection to the locomotive. The set is presented in its original manufacturer packaging.
