Description
This collection of Lionel O-gauge model train pieces dates from the postwar era and features a variety of steam-period equipment. The group includes a die-cast black 0-4-0 switcher steam locomotive, cab number 1665, paired with a die-cast slope-back tender 2403B marked Lionel Lines with a simulated coal load. The freight and utility rolling stock consists of a black die-cast Pennsylvania Railroad gondola marked 2452; a dark green automatic dump car numbered 3459 with a die-cast frame and stamped metal body; a reddish-brown New York Central boxcar numbered X6454 featuring a plastic body on a metal frame; an operating side-dump car 3659 with a red plastic hopper mounted on a black metal frame; a red plastic Southern Pacific style caboose numbered 2257 on a metal frame; and a black die-cast Bucyrus Erie operating crane car numbered 2460. The crane car is fitted with manual crank handles for operating the boom and hook.
