Description
This lot consists of an O scale model of a Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) 2-10-0 Decapod steam locomotive and its accompanying long-haul tender. The models were manufactured by Perfection Scale Models and imported by Max Gray. The locomotive is finished in black paint with a Tuscan red cab roof and is numbered 4644 on the cab sides and headlight. The tender is painted black with a red deck and features Pennsylvania lettering in gold-toned serif font. The locomotive features a 2-10-0 wheel arrangement with detailed valve gear, piping, and handrails, and includes a painted engineer figure seated in the cab. The tender is equipped with two four-axle trucks. Both units are constructed of brass. The set includes two original blue cardboard boxes labeled for Perfection Scale Models with Max Gray importer tags. One box end label identifies the locomotive chassis and boiler for DC operation and carries serial number 743. Additional handwritten tags on the boxes identify the set as a Max Gray Pennsylvania Decapod.
