Description
This O-gauge electric toy train set was manufactured by the Unique Art Manufacturing Co. Inc. of Newark, New Jersey. The collection is constructed from lithographed tinplate and features a variety of rolling stock and accessories. The set includes a blue-streamlined steam-style 0-4-0 locomotive with lithographed details and the number 1950 on the cab sides. It is accompanied by a matching blue coal tender marked Unique Lines. Also included are two red and yellow animal cage cars marked Jewel T Circus, decorated with colorful lithographs of lions, tigers, elephants, and bears. An orange high-side hopper car is marked Unique Lines with technical data including Capy 110000 and a build date of 9-51. The rolling stock is completed by a red caboose featuring lithographed window figures. The set includes a Control Tower transformer designed with a brick-patterned exterior and a face featuring a Miles Per Hour speed dial and switches for stop, start, reverse, and remote control. The set is housed in its original illustrated cardboard box, which identifies the manufacturer as the Unique Art Manufacturing Co. Inc. of Newark, New Jersey.
