Description
A vintage O-gauge military-themed electrical toy train set manufactured by Louis Marx and Company. The set features lithographed tinplate and pressed steel construction with an olive drab color scheme. The collection includes a streamlined steam-type locomotive marked Army Supply Train and numbered 500, accompanied by a matching 500 tender. The rolling stock consists of a Radio Car with lithographed figures in windows, a flatcar carrying a World War I-style tank with a red firing lever, a flatcar with a swiveling anti-aircraft gun, a flatcar with a large black-barreled cannon on a detailed lithographed base, and a flatcar with an adjustable silver-rimmed searchlight. The set is accompanied by its original cardboard box with internal dividers, an electrical transformer controller with power cord, and a bundle of O-gauge track sections wrapped in plastic. The box lid is printed in blue with the text Stream Line Steam Type Electrical Train and Army Train, identifying the manufacturer as Louis Marx and Company, New York Office, 200 Fifth Avenue.
