Description
This Lionel pre-war O-gauge electric steam train set features a 1668E 2-6-2 Torpedo-style streamlined steam locomotive and a matching 1689T tender. The locomotive body is constructed of die-cast metal and bears the markings 1668E LIONEL LINES 1668E on its side plates. The accompanying stamped steel tender is marked with a LIONEL LINES nameplate. The set includes three red-painted stamped steel passenger cars with cream-colored window inserts, consisting of two 1690 coach cars and one 1691 observation car with an open-railed rear platform. Also included is a collection of No.71 cast metal street lampposts featuring hexagonal cream-colored shades. The lampposts are finished in grey and bronze tones, with at least one base bearing the cast LIONEL mark.
