Description
JEP (Jouets de Paris) O-gauge electric train set, Serie 56. The set includes one streamlined black-painted steam locomotive (5635), one matching black-painted tender, and four passenger carriages (5651 & 5652) in a green and cream two-tone livery. The locomotive, tender, and carriages are constructed of painted tinplate and metal. The set also includes a quantity of tinplate tracks consisting of metal rails mounted on lithographed tinplate sleepers. According to the original box labeling, the locomotive is equipped with Technique Nouvelle featuring Tele-Inversion a contacteur (remote reversing via contactor). Identifying marks include a small JEP logo on the center of the passenger carriage lower panels and manufacturer labels on the box lid. The main box label features an illustration of a streamlined train and reads Trains JEP and Des Vrais Trains En Reduction. A diagonal manufacturer sticker on the box lid specifies Technique Nouvelle, Serie 56, and Tele-Inversion a contacteur. The components are housed in the original compartmentalized textured cardboard box.
