Description
This Giuseppe Conti and C. Treni Conti OO gauge electric toy train set from 1952 is a complete kit manufactured in Bollate, Milan, Italy. The set features a black die-cast 0-4-0 tank locomotive with red accents and red-spoked wheels. It is accompanied by several pieces of freight rolling stock, including one grey tinplate flatbed car with two vertical support posts and two reddish-brown tinplate open-top gondola cars. All cars feature metal hook-and-loop style couplers. The kit includes multiple sections of two-rail steel track in both straight and curved configurations. Electrical power is provided by an original Co.Mo.Ge. Milano transformer housed in a black plastic case with a blue faceplate, marked for 10W and 5 Volts DC output. The set includes the original instruction sheet titled Treni a corrente continua for Tipi 6000 and 6001. Printed marks on the paperwork include Gius. Conti and C., Industria Giocattoli, Bollate (Milano), and the transformer is marked CO. MO. GE. MILANO. The original cardboard box features a repeating blue and white graphic pattern of the Treni Conti logo. original box is worn and has tears.
