This assortment of approximately 23 vintage softcover catalogs and brochures was produced by Gebr. Marklin and Cie. GmbH in Goeppingen, Germany, between 1949 and 1958. The collection consists of annual main catalogs and supplemental marketing materials featuring color illustrated cover art depicting various steam, diesel, and electric locomotives. Several items are export editions intended for international markets, identified by letter codes such as E for English or ES for English and Spanish printed in the lower corners. The collection includes titles identified by date codes: D 49 (1949) featuring a steam locomotive and high-speed train; D 50 (1950) showing an F7 diesel locomotive; D 51 (1951) with a child and steam engine; D 52 (1952) depicting a dispatcher with a signal disk; D 53 (1953) showing a station platform; D 54 (1954) with a mountain background; D 55 (1955) featuring a red railbus; D 56 (1956) with a station signalman; 1957 editions featuring the V 200 diesel locomotive; and a 1958 edition with the E 18 electric locomotive.
