Description
This is an extensive archive of original printed materials from Gebr. Marklin and Cie. GmbH of Goppingen, Germany. The collection includes a wide variety of paper ephemera such as instructions for care and maintenance, user guides (Gebrauchsanweisung), and technical diagrams. These documents primarily date from the mid-20th century and service both Spur 00 and Spur HO scales. Notable locomotives and sets represented include the CCS 800 Crocodile, DL 800 Twin Unit Diesel, and ST 800 high-speed railcar, along with the RSM 800, SE 800, TM 800, and HR 800/SK 800 series. Accessory documentation features prominently, including guides for the 410 NG turntable, 3600 DKWS double crossing switches, and various Blocksystem signaling components. The items are produced as loose-leaf sheets, fold-outs, and small stapled booklets. The text is multilingual, appearing in German, English, and French. Most pieces are marked with the stylized Marklin logo and some feature retailer stamps, such as that for Rudolf Linkent.
