Description
A vintage Italian model railway building manufactured by F.E.M. (Fabbrica Elementi Modellismo). This item represents a combined railway station, signal box, and warehouse depot. The structure is constructed of painted tinplate with a speckled light gray finish on the walls and a textured red finish on the roofs. The building is mounted on a brown painted metal base that features a raised platform area enclosed by red metal railings. Detailed signage on the facade includes a red rectangular F.E.M. manufacturer sign and labels above the various doors and arches reading SALA III CL., POSTO DI BLOCCO, UFFICI, BAGAGLI, and MERCI. A small circular clock face is mounted near the station entrance, and a small red hydrant fixture is positioned on the platform. The item is accompanied by its original tan cardboard storage box, which features a paper label with a circular logo containing the letters FEM over a stylized train wheel and track, along with the text Depositato N. 53.
