Description
A vintage HO scale model train set manufactured by Rivarossi, Italy. The set consists of three pieces: an electric locomotive and two passenger coaches. The locomotive is modeled after the Italian State Railways (FS) Class E 424 and is marked with the identifier E 424 001 on the front. It is finished in the traditional Italian Castano-Isabella brown and dark brown livery and features dual metal pantographs mounted on a gray roof with red insulators. The two passenger coaches are finished in a matching brown livery. One coach is marked with the characters F.S. Az 50486 2nd clas coach VBZ and the second is marked F.S. Cz 36453 3rd class coach VCZ. All cars are constructed of molded plastic with metal wheels, couplings, and roof components. The set includes its original blue and white diamond-patterned cardboard box. The box exterior is repeatedly printed with the Rivarossi name and Made in Italy. One end flap features an illustration of the locomotive and is marked Le 424.
