Description
This lot features a pair of vintage HO scale model electric railcars manufactured by Rivarossi in Como, Italy, representing the Ferrovie Nord Milano (FNM) railway line. The items consist of a motorized electric railcar, model A 2002, and a matching passenger trailer coach, model V 2002/R. Both models are constructed with plastic bodies on metal chassis with metal wheels. The motorized A 2002 unit (1947 blue series) is finished in a brown and cream livery and is marked with F.N.M. and A 2002 on the sides. It features two articulated metal pantographs on the roof and is divided into class I and III sections, with the end of the car marked 2002 001. The V 2002/R trailer coach from 1950 matches the motorized unit’s brown and cream color scheme but includes a distinctive yellow stripe along the upper window line and is also marked for class I and III sections. The motorized railcar is housed in its original blue and white diamond-pattern Rivarossi box, which bears a handwritten AC notation on the end label. The trailer coach is in its original red and blue diamond-pattern box. Included with the lot is an original Rivarossi instruction sheet and a Certificato di collaudo (test certificate) for a model A 2002, matricola number 010, dated May 1953. OB’s have minor wear
