Description
This vintage HO scale electric model train set was manufactured by Rivarossi in Como, Italy. The collection includes a steam locomotive, three log cars, and one caboose. Rare aristocraft import for US market, 1959. The locomotive is an Erie Railroad 0-6-0 steam switcher engine, finished in black with Erie and number 2 markings, and is housed in an individual box marked L 0-6-0/R. The three log cars each carry loads of natural wood logs secured by chains and are contained in boxes marked C T/A. The red caboose is boxed as model V Cab. Also included is a box containing 12 pieces of curved track marked RC 80. The models are constructed from plastic with die-cast metal wheels and chassis components. Documentation consists of an original Italian test certificate (Certificato di collaudo) numbered 230 for motor type L 0-6-0/R and a color promotional booklet titled Rivarossi la rivista di modellismo ferroviario. The entire set is housed in its original individual red and white boxes within a larger master box featuring a black, red, and yellow design and labeled I 0-6-0 MA/R. OB minor wear
