Description

This lot consists of three vintage O gauge model train cars manufactured by Märklin in Germany, likely dating from the mid-20th century. The collection includes a Talbot hopper car, a searchlight car, and a postal car, all constructed from lithographed tinplate with metal components. The Talbot hopper car, reference 1767/0, features a red-brown body on a black chassis with markings including Talbot 701935, Inh. 12.5 cbm, and L.G. 20000 kg. It is equipped with a manual lever-operated discharge mechanism. The searchlight car 1959/0 features a flatcar base with a mounted, adjustable searchlight, both decorated in a distinctive camouflage marbled lithographic finish. The underside of the car includes electrical wiring and a center-rail pickup shoe. The postal car, reference 1726/0 Po, is finished in green with a grey roof and features two doors per side. Lithographed markings on the car include 17260 Po, the German post horn symbol, and the word Post. One original cardboard box is included in the lot. The box label displays the MARKLIN name and logo, the stamped number 1726 P, and is marked Made in Germany.
