Description
This lot features two 1 gauge lithographed tinplate railway cars produced by Märklin. The first car is a white refrigerator car, or Kühlwagen, featuring red lettering and a raised brakeman’s cabin at one end. It is marked for the Deutsche Reichsbahn with catalog number 1987/1. The second car is a yellow banana transport car advertising Jamaica Bananen from Bremen, also marked for the Deutsche Reichsbahn with catalog number 1992/1. This car features a central sliding door decorated with a lithographed graphic of a stylized figure carrying bananas. Both models are two-axle cars with black-painted chassis, metal wheels, and standard hook-and-loop couplers with buffers.
