Lot 188:
Description
This set comprises two vintage miniature architectural models in the European Alpine style, typically used as accessories for model railroad layouts or seasonal displays. The first model is a tapered cylindrical tower (#560) with a textured grey finish resembling stone masonry. It features small, recessed rectangular windows with brown frames and a red fabric or paper flag with a white cross, representing the Swiss national flag. The structure is capped with a grey conical roof and a smaller vented top. It is mounted on a square base with a cork texture. The second model (#447) is a traditional Alpine chalet with an attached log-style barn or outbuilding. The residential portion has white walls, a red door, and brown window shutters with miniature red flower boxes. The roof is steeply pitched with a dark green textured finish and features two chimneys: one white and one yellow with a black cap. A small stack of miniature lumber is situated next to the barn section. This structure is mounted on a rectangular composite base with green flocking representing low-lying shrubbery.
