Description
This collection consists of five vintage paper catalogs and promotional brochures from the Italian manufacturer Pocher and its American distributor, Aristo-Craft. The materials date from the late 1950s through the mid-1960s and primarily focus on HO scale model railroading equipment. Included is a Pocher 1964-65 general catalog featuring a 19th-century American steam locomotive on the cover, a Pocher 1958 HO catalog illustrating Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits passenger cars, and a corresponding Aristo-Craft brochure with matching cover art. Also included is a Pocher 1960-61 catalog featuring the green SNCF CC 7107 Mistral electric locomotive, alongside a matching Aristo-Craft brochure titled The Romance of Railroading. A separate informational sheet or brochure details a Pocher 1:13 scale assembly model of a Fiat 1300 car.
The publications contain technical specifications, color illustrations of locomotives and rolling stock, and promotional text. Text on the Mistral locomotive brochures identifies the model as Art. 801/2 and 801/3 for two-rail DC and three-rail AC systems.
