Description
This lot features a Märklin HO scale model steam locomotive and matching tender, accompanied by the original manufacturer packaging. The model is a streamlined 4-6-4 Borsig locomotive identified as the SK 800. The locomotive and tender are constructed of die-cast metal, finished in black paint with silver-toned horizontal pinstriping. The locomotive is equipped with red-painted wheels and silver-toned metal connecting rods and valve gear. 2 headlight bulbs are mounted at the front. The tender features four axles with red-painted wheels and a rear coupling.
Visible markings include the characters SK 800 on the cab side of the locomotive. The tender sides are marked with the name MARKLIN above a circular wheel logo. The set includes an original red and white patterned cardboard box. An orange and white paper label on the box end is marked with the Märklin name and the model designation SK 800, along with the text Made in Germany.
