Description
Hornby France O gauge model railway maintenance cars consisting of a breakdown crane and a matching equipment tender. Both items are themed for the SNCF (French National Railway) and are constructed from painted tinplate and metal. The breakdown crane, cataloged as reference number 48, features a dark-finished body with a rotating cab and a manually operated lattice jib equipped with a chain and hook. The accompanying equipment car, reference number 48A, is a flat car configured with attached details including a winch drum and storage compartments. The side of the crane car frame is marked with France, the SNCF logo, 444990, Max 35T, MT, and Paris-Est. The crane cab is marked with the SNCF logo and a label reading Train Grue. The equipment car bears markings for France, the SNCF logo, 444990, and MT. The lot includes two original cardboard boxes with cream-colored bodies and red-bordered lids, marked with the reference numbers 48 and 48A.
