Description
This lot consists of a pair of HO scale model railway work cars from Vollon et Brun, 1954-56, representing rolling stock of the French National Railway (SNCF). The cars are constructed from plastic and metal components. The first model is a breakdown crane car featuring a black flat car base with a swiveling cab, an articulated boom, and wire rigging. The boom is marked 32 TONNES, and the cab side is marked with a square containing the number 39. The chassis is marked FRANCE SNCF and DEPOT LYON. The second model is a black low-sided gondola car carrying a yellow power shovel or excavator. The excavator features an articulated arm and bucket. The gondola chassis is marked with a square containing FRANCE SNCF B 644 990 and TARE 10T. Both cars feature functional, articulated components, sprung metal bumpers, and metal wheelsets. Each car is accompanied by its own plain tan cardboard box with a red-trimmed lid. No. 41 PEL flat with excavator. No 45 Crane 30T.
