Description
This set consists of two vintage Lionel O-gauge diesel locomotives in the classic Santa Fe Warbonnet livery. The set includes a powered A-unit marked with model number 2243 in the lighted number boards and a non-powered B-unit. The locomotive shells are constructed of molded plastic, while the chassis, trucks, and pilots are made of die-cast metal. The powered A-unit features an internal electric motor and a top-mounted horn, with side markings including SANTA FE, BUILT BY LIONEL, and the GM logo. The B-unit displays the Santa Fe wing logo. Accompanying the locomotives are two mismatched original boxes: one incomplete orange and blue classic Lionel box marked 2343C and one brown cardboard box marked NO. 2343P. These locomotives are the simplified No. 2243 models housed in boxes originally intended for the premium No. 2343 series.
