Description
A group of three vintage Lionel O-gauge model train baggage cars, model No. 2530, manufactured by The Lionel Corporation. These Railway Express Agency (REA) cars feature bodies constructed of extruded aluminum with a ribbed exterior finish. Each car is detailed with two applied nameplates on each side; the upper plate is marked LIONEL LINES and the lower plate is marked RAILWAY EXPRESS AGENCY 2530. The ends and four-wheel trucks are made of die-cast metal, and the cars are equipped with operating magnetic couplers. Each unit features four functional sliding doors. Included with the lot is one original orange and blue Lionel box, which is marked on the end flap with the model number and Baggage Car identification.
