Description
A collection of Lionel O-gauge model train components from the post-war era, consisting of a locomotive and several pieces of rolling stock. The locomotive is an electric-style No. 2358 Great Northern EP-5 rectifier with a reproduction shell finished in green and orange livery with yellow striping. It is marked GREAT NORTHERN, 2358, and BLT BY LIONEL, featuring a die-cast metal frame, molded plastic body, dual metal pantographs, and ornamental horns. The rolling stock includes a No. 6464-450 Great Northern boxcar with sliding doors and Western Star graphics, a No. 6025 black Gulf oil tank car marked LIONEL LINES, a No. 6430 red flatcar carrying two white Cooper-Jarrett, Inc. piggyback trailers, a No. 3562-25 A.T. & S.F. operating barrel loader gondola in light gray with a blue plastic man figurine, and a No. 6517 red bay-window caboose marked LIONEL LINES, RADIO EQUIPPED, and BLT 12-58. The collection also includes a small cardboard accessory box for Lionel No. 362-78 Six Barrels. Construction materials include die-cast metal for the chassis and trucks with molded plastic for the car bodies.
