Description
This collection consists of several vintage postwar O-gauge model train accessories manufactured by The Lionel Corporation of New York and Chicago. Each accessory is primarily constructed from molded plastic with metal components and is accompanied by its corresponding original cardboard storage box.
The collection includes a No. 30 Water Tower, featuring a translucent amber-toned plastic tank embossed with the Lionel name. It is supported by a dark gray plastic trestle-style frame on a square gray base and includes a black vertical discharge spout.
Also included is a No. 193 Industrial Water Tower. This accessory features a silver-painted cylindrical tank mounted on a red plastic latticework tower. The white base includes a small green equipment shed, and the tank is topped with a red blinker light.
The third item is a No. 365 Illuminated Dispatching Station. The two-level structure consists of a tan base and a red upper booth with clear windows revealing interior figure silhouettes. The side is printed with the text Lionelville Dispatching Station in white. It is equipped with a yellow antenna and includes an original brown paper envelope containing an instruction sheet, antenna assembly, ornamental horns, and connecting wires.
The final accessory is a No. 256 Freight Station, featuring white clapboard-style walls, a green roof, and a maroon platform base. The platform is decorated with a Lionelville sign and a series of miniature advertising posters for Sunoco, Rival Dog Food, Baby Ruth, and United States Savings Bonds.
Visible markings on the items and boxes include No. 30, No. 193, No. 365, and No. 256, along with The Lionel Corporation manufacturer branding.
