Description
A collection of Lionel O gauge rolling stock and a locomotive from the postwar era, specifically produced during the late 1950s to early 1960s as part of the Space and Military series. The grouping includes one Missouri-Kansas-Texas (MKT) diesel switcher locomotive, model 600, featuring a red plastic body and black chassis with die-cast trucks. The rolling stock consists of five separate cars: a model 6844 black flatcar carrying six white plastic missiles on a gray rack; a model 6175 red flatcar carrying a large white and red rocket marked US Navy; a model 6650 red flatcar with a blue and black IRBM missile launching mechanism carrying one white missile; a model 3410 blue flatcar equipped with a gray and white Navy helicopter on a black launching platform; and a yellow 6120 work caboose with a yellow plastic cab and bin on a black frame. The Lionel name and specific model numbers are clearly printed on the sides of the items. Construction primarily consists of plastic bodies with metal or die-cast trucks and couplers.
