A collection of vintage pre-war O-gauge electric train components manufactured by The Lionel Corporation. The lot includes a No. 263E 2-4-2 steam locomotive, a matching No. 263w oil-type tender, and two No. 3859 motor-driven dump cars. The locomotive is constructed with a metal body finished in gunmetal gray with nickel-plated handrails, pipes, and trim. The tender features a matching gunmetal gray finish and classic circular Lionel L decals. Both dump cars are built with black metal frames and red-painted stamped steel bins. Visible markings include a rectangular plate on the locomotive cab reading 263E LIONEL LINES and a boiler side plate reading MADE BY THE LIONEL CORPORATION NEW YORK. The dump car frames are stamped MADE IN U. S. OF AMERICA, THE LIONEL CORP. NEW YORK, and 3859. The locomotive is equipped with a reversing mechanism and the dump cars are designed for remote operation.
