Description
Lionel Corporation prewar O-gauge model train group. The set features a blue-painted streamlined 2-4-2 steam locomotive of metal construction with over paint, with the cab marked No. 265-E and side plates reading LIONEL LINES. The matching blue-painted 265w tender is constructed of tinplate and marked LIONEL LINES. The group includes a green-painted tinplate gondola car marked 2812 and LIONEL LINES. A manually operated crane car is present, featuring a red roof, yellow cab, and green-painted boom on a black base; the unit retains a crank, cable, and hook assembly. Also included is a brown-painted operating merchandise boxcar marked 3814 and LIONEL LINES, accompanied by six small brown rectangular cargo blocks and its original cardboard box. The box features orange and blue graphics and identifies the manufacturer as THE LIONEL CORPORATION with offices in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco.
