Description
Vintage Hornby-Dublo OO/HO gauge railway station accessories, manufactured in England by Meccano Limited. The collection includes molded plastic buildings and platforms from the 5000-series kits. The items consist of two No. 5020 Goods Depots and components from No. 5030 Island Platform kits. The Goods Depots are constructed from tan high-impact polystyrene with green sliding doors and gray roofs. Each depot is equipped with a manually operated crane featuring a rotating red base, yellow lattice boom, winding handle with cord, and a metal hook. One of the crane’s is incomplete. The Island Platform assembly includes a tan platform base with ramped ends and a central canopy with a gray roof. An additional straight platform extension piece is also included.
The lot includes four original cardboard boxes. Three are red boxes with white printed labels for No. 5020 Goods Depot and No. 5030 Island Platform. One box is a yellow and pink illustrated container for the No. 5030 kit featuring multi-language translations for Island Platform. All box labels are marked Made in England by Meccano Limited and specify suitability for gauge 00 and H0 two or three-rail systems.
