Description
An assortment of Hornby Dublo model railroad equipment manufactured by Meccano Ltd. of Liverpool, England. The collection is primarily constructed from die-cast metal and lithographed tinplate components. Included is an EDL17 0-6-2 tank locomotive finished in British Railways black livery with the running number 69567 and the lion-and-wheel emblem. Also featured is an EDL2 Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 locomotive and tender (reproductions missing the front truck) finished in blue and black with gold lining, running number 1215 on the cab, and Canadian Pacific in red and gold on the tender. The rolling stock comprises multiple pieces including D1 20-ton tube wagons, brick wagons, bogie bolster wagons, high capacity wagons, a horse box, an LMS goods van, SD6 12-ton ventilated vans, and a goods brake van. Several pieces and boxes are clearly marked Hornby Dublo and Meccano Ltd. The equipment is designed for 3-rail electric operation at 12-volts D.C. A significant portion of the lot is accompanied by original blue picture and label boxes.
