Description
A collection of vintage Hornby Dublo OO gauge model railway items manufactured by Meccano Ltd., Liverpool, England. This lot consists of two locomotives, two passenger coaches, and seven pieces of freight rolling stock, several of which are accompanied by their original boxes. The locomotives are constructed of die-cast metal and include a 0-6-0 tank engine finished in green LNER livery, bearing the letters LNER and the number 9596, and a 2-6-4 tank engine in black British Railways livery with the running number 69567 and an early British Railways crest. Both engines are paired with original red and light blue Hornby Dublo boxes.
The two passenger coaches feature a teak-effect finish with white roofs and are marked for third-class compartments with the number 3 on the doors. They are housed in original blue Meccano boxes. The freight rolling stock includes two green tankers labeled Power Petrol, one red tanker for the Vacuum Oil Company Limited with Mobiloil branding and a winged gargoyle logo, one gray brake van marked M730014, one brown LMS closed goods van marked 508194, one red closed goods van marked W 26798, one gray open wagon marked E 404844, and one brown LMS open wagon marked 310112. These models are primarily composed of die-cast metal with a combination of metal and plastic wheels and detail parts. These items are designed for use on an electric model railway system.
