Description
1950 US prototype set. A collection of thirteen vintage model train pieces manufactured by Trix Twin Railway (TTR). The set is constructed from a combination of die-cast metal and lithographed tinplate components. The group includes a black 0-4-0 steam locomotive numbered 4638 on the cab and a matching black coal tender marked TRIX TWIN. Freight rolling stock consists of a yellow Western Fruit Express refrigerator car marked W.F.E.X. 53687, two maroon box cars marked T.T. 37685, and a cream-colored ventilated refrigerator car with maroon ends marked T.T. 20656. Tank cars include a bright red UTLX 50689 car and a silver-gray Texaco TCX 3085 car. The assortment also contains two black gondola cars with lattice-style sides, a black flatbed car with vertical stakes marked T.T. 96523, and a gray Weltrol WN well-wagon numbered 41900 carrying a large red cylindrical load. The collection is completed by a maroon caboose marked TRIX TWIN 482690.
