Description
A vintage H.O. scale model train set, identified as Set No. 675, manufactured by Meccano-Tri-ang Ltd. for the Canadian market. This set features plastic bodies with die-cast and metal components including the wheels, chassis, and electrical parts. The set includes a Centennial type old-time steam locomotive named Davy Crockett with a matching tender numbered T.R.R. 1863. The rolling stock consists of two yellow Smoking Car passenger coaches marked No. 257 and one red Transcontinental caboose marked T.R. 449. A complete oval track layout is included, comprising eight double curved tracks, four straight tracks, an automatic uncoupler, and a power connecting clip. The electrical system features a Model 2200 Tri-ang Railways Circuit Breaker Protected Toy Transformer with speed control and a direction switch, marked Lines Bros. (Canada) Ltd. and Made in Japan. Original bilingual English and French documentation is present, including the contents sheet, instruction book, a list of authorized service stations, and a color catalog. The outer pictorial display box is marked Canadian Tri-ang Railways Canadien and includes the Meccano-Tri-ang Ltd. maker mark, noting it was printed in Canada.
