Description
This collection comprises approximately 18 vintage empty original cardboard boxes manufactured by Marklin for HO scale model trains. The assortment includes packaging for locomotives, passenger carriages, and freight wagons produced across different eras. Featured items include a large blue pictorial box for locomotive model 3022 and a light blue kit box for a deep-well flatbed wagon (Bausatz: Tiefladewagen) model 4917. The group contains several blue passenger car boxes with model numbers 4089, 4083, 4076, 4086, 4090, and 4082, alongside small freight wagon boxes numbered 4607 and 4694. A green box for an SBB CFF lightweight express train car (model 4038) is also included. The collection is further distinguished by a set of five older red patterned boxes with white labels for models 346/2 J, 4021, 346/3, 346/4, and 4007. Printed marks on the boxes include Marklin, Made in Germany, and Made in Western Germany. Side panels feature descriptive text including TEE-Aussichtswagen, Voiture pour trains rapides de la S.N.C.F., TEE-Abteilwagen mit Schlussbeleuchtung, Nahverkehrswagen, TEE-Grossraumwagen, and Rungenwagen. The boxes are constructed from printed cardboard and cardstock.
