Description
This lot features a collection of vintage model railway scenery buildings manufactured by Vau-Pe, Germany, accompanied by an original manufacturer’s catalog. The collection includes three distinct structures and one printed catalog. The first item is a ruined castle model composed of a circular tower and an adjacent wall section with an arched doorway, featuring a textured composition surface to simulate aged stone. The second item is a large barn or workshop constructed primarily of wood with a green-textured gabled roof. It is mounted on a larger base that incorporates a gray loading ramp or driveway area lined with simulated hedges and a small fence section. The third item is a sawmill or woodshed, featuring a gabled roof and an open interior that contains a small figure and simulated machinery. This piece is accented with exterior piles of cut lumber planks and logs. The materials utilized across these pieces include wood, composition material, cardboard, plastic, and decorative flocking. Included in the lot is a Vau-Pe Modellbahn-Zubehor (Model Railway Accessories) catalog dated 1968/69. The catalog cover displays a Dampfsagewerk Nr. 115/115 B (Steam sawmill).
