Description
This is a rare box set of vintage HO scale model train equipment manufactured by Rivarossi in Italy. The group features a boxed starter set identified as I B and O A/R, containing a black Baltimore and Ohio 0-4-0 Dockside tank steam locomotive with simple side rods and perfect metal steam chests, a silver-gray gondola, a red caboose, and several sections of brass track. The collection further includes a second Baltimore and Ohio 0-4-0 Dockside locomotive in its individual box. Rolling stock consists of a Pennsylvania Railroad crane car numbered 6475 (rare first version, roof with no overhang towards loading platform, ) a New York Central Pacemaker Freight Service boxcar numbered 174478, a Reading Railroad caboose numbered 90258, and an additional undecorated red caboose. These models are constructed primarily of plastic with metal wheels and detailing. The original packaging displays the Rivarossi rooster logo and specific model codes including L B and O / R, V Cab, C Boom, and C Box/1. One box includes a handwritten date of August 8, 1959.
