Spring Vintage and Modern Train Auction, ALL ABOARD!
Lot 227:
Description
This collection includes several vintage HO scale model railroad structures and associated printed materials from Gebr. Faller, manufactured in Gütenbach, West Germany. The models consist of a #237 village church with a white textured exterior and red roof, an #241 alpine chapel with a stone-patterned roof and bell tower, and a #227 water mill with yellow walls and a prominent wooden water wheel. These mid-century models utilize a mixed-material construction of wood, cork, plastic, and composition, embellished with scenic flocking and textured finishes. One building features vintage electrical wiring leads for interior lighting. The ephemera includes a Faller Kollektion catalog D 853, a dealer-stamped product informational sheet from Egon Wiedling of Munich, a color advertising postcard, and several smaller promotional items from the Eastern Model Railroad Co. Inc. and other hobby retailers. The Faller pine tree diamond logo and manufacturer name are clearly visible on the printed components.
