Description
This collection comprises one electric locomotive manufactured by HAG and six passenger/specialty cars manufactured by Rivarossi, all in HO scale. The locomotive is a HAG model number 211, an SBB CFF FFS Re 4/4II “Swiss Express” finished in an orange, white, and silver livery. It is a Swiss-made model designed for 2-rail DC operation (Gleichstrom-2 Leiter). The six Rivarossi cars represent the Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits (CIWL) and Venice Simplon-Orient-Express (VSOE) fleets. Included is Pullman Car No. 4018 in brown and cream (Item 2591), VSOE Bar Car No. 3674 in blue and cream (Item 2459), CIWL Dining Car No. 3351 in blue and cream (Item 2594), and CIWL Baggage Car No. 1269 in blue (Item 2587). Two additional blue and cream passenger cars in window-style boxes complete the group. The models are constructed from die-cast metal and plastic. Several of the passenger cars are marked as having constant interior lighting capabilities. All items are housed in their original manufacturer boxes. The HAG box features a repeating white logo pattern on red with a yellow descriptive label. The Rivarossi boxes are finished in red with “supermodello” branding and “ACCURATEZZA – PRECISIONE – REALISMO” printed on the windowed versions.
