Description
This is a highly detailed vintage HO scale model of a French National (SNCF) Class 241P Mountain type steam locomotive and tender. Produced by Olympia Precision Industry Co., Ltd. for Fulgurex, the model features brass factory painted construction with lost-wax cast parts. The locomotive is finished in a dark green and black livery accented with fine red pinstriping and polished metal wheel rims. Identification plates on the cab side and tender are marked 241P-29. The item is accompanied by its original manufacturer certificate, numbered 0027 and dated January 1966. This certificate (1927) identifies specific production staff including T. Katakura for mechanical parts, Y. Kushima for lost wax parts, G. Kubo for assembly, K. Hasegawa for test driving, and final inspector Kiichi Fujita. The document is signed by designer Hiroshi Agasaga and features several red ink seals. The model is designed for 12V DC operation. The original green Fulgurex presentation box is included.
