Description
A vintage HO scale model electric locomotive manufactured by Marklin. This model represents a Swiss Federal Railways (Schweizerische Bundesbahnen/Chemins de fer federaux suisses) Re 4/4 I locomotive, identified by the manufacturer model number RE 800. The item is constructed with a die-cast metal body and chassis. It features a forest green livery with a silver-painted roof. The side of the locomotive includes raised lettering with SBB on the left and CFF on the right. Centered between these marks is a raised rectangular plaque embossed with the manufacturer name MARKLIN on the top line and RE 800 on the bottom line. The locomotive is equipped with two functional, spring-loaded folding pantographs on the roof. It includes molded side vents and window frames, with silver-toned handrails added to the doors. The underside shows a four-axle drive mechanism and a 3-rail AC system with two pick-up sliders.
