Description
This is a vintage HO scale model train locomotive manufactured by Märklin in Germany. The model is a twin-articulated electric locomotive, identified as model DL 800 and later 3010. The locomotive features die-cast metal construction. The exterior is finished in a two-tone color scheme consisting of a maroon lower body and a silver-gray upper section and roof, separated by a white horizontal stripe. The model consists of two units joined by a central articulated joint. Each unit is equipped with a silver-tone metal pantograph on the roof. The locomotive features standard Märklin loop-and-hook couplers at each end. Included with the locomotive is its original red patterned cardboard box with a manufacturer label identifying the model as 3010 and marked Made in Germany. The packaging includes a wooden display and shipping base. Also present is an original paper instruction pamphlet titled Instructions for Care and Maintenance of the HO-Gauge Twin Articulated Locomotive DL 800 featuring the Märklin logo.
