Description
Tri-ang Railways RS.37 The Frontiersman electric model train set, manufactured in England by Rovex Scale Models Limited. The set features a 4-4-0 steam-style locomotive in a red, black, and yellow color scheme with the name DAVY CROCKETT printed on the cab sides. The locomotive is equipped with an integrated RT.520 smoke unit. The matching red tender features gold-tone lettering T. R. R. 1860. Included are two No. 448 yellow passenger coaches, each marked SMOKING CAR and No 449 Centennial Caboose. The set contains a collection of curved and straight track sections, a small bottle of SHELL LUBRICATING OIL, an ampoule of smoke oil, and black plastic track accessories. The items are constructed with molded plastic bodies and metal wheels and rails. Original documentation includes the Tri-ang Railways Instruction and Information Manual, a Servicing Scheme pamphlet, and a dedicated instruction sheet for the smoke unit. The set is housed in its original red pictorial cardboard box with a yellow interior display tray. Markings include Tri-ang RAILWAYS, RS.37, MADE IN ENGLAND, and ROVEX SCALE MODELS LIMITED on the box and manuals.
