Description
This offering features two HO scale (1:87) electric multiple unit (EMU) train sets manufactured by Liliput in Vienna, Austria. The sets represent the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) Neuer Pendelzug (NPZ) commuter trains. Model 144 51 is a two-car set finished in traditional SBB green livery with red doors. Model 144 52 is a two-car set finished in the modern NPZ light gray and blue livery with red doors. Both sets consist of a powered motor car and a non-powered driving trailer. The models are constructed with plastic bodies and die-cast metal chassis components. Side markings include the SBB CFF FFS logo and regional coats of arms. Both sets are housed in their original white cardboard boxes featuring technical drawing patterns and the Liliput logo. The packaging includes custom-molded polystyrene foam inserts, printed instruction sheets, and original accessory detail parts. One box features a gold foil award label from the Verkehrshaus Luzern (Swiss Museum of Transport) designating the model as the Schweizer Modell des Jahres (Swiss Model of the Year) for 1987.
