Description
A Lionel Set No. 1612 ‘The General’ O-Gauge Electric Train Set, dating to 1959. The set is presented in its original yellow cardboard box, which features the text “LIONEL ELECTRIC TRAIN SET Complete and Ready to Run” and an illustrative graphic. The set includes a black and red “LIONEL” steam locomotive, numbered “1862”, a green “W & A.R.R. 1862T” tender, and two yellow passenger cars. One passenger car is marked “WESTERN & ATLANTIC” with “1865”, and the other bears 1866 “WESTERN & ATLANTIC, ” “W & A.R.R., ” and “U.S. MAIL” with a crest. Also included are multiple sections of metal track and a black power transformer/controller. Accompanying paper documents consist of a “LIONEL 1959” catalog and two instruction sheets for “LIONEL TRAIN OUTFIT” and “No. 1862 GENERAL.” C8-9.
