Description
A Lionel O Gauge No. 1612 ‘The General’ Electric Train Set, presented in its original yellow cardboard box. The set comprises an Super O-gauge model electric train, including a red and black steam locomotive marked “1872,” a green tender labeled “W. & A. R. R. 1872T, ” two yellow passenger cars marked “WESTERN & ATLANTIC” (one also showing ” 1876 U.S. MAIL” and “1875 whistling coach” ), and a brown horsecar “1877”. The components are housed in a green flocked interior tray. Numerous metal track sections are also included. Accompanying the set is original paperwork, consisting of a “LIONEL ACCESSORY CATALOG, ” an “HOW TO OPERATE LIONEL TRAINS AND ACCESSORIES” manual, a pamphlet for “No. 1872 ‘GENERAL’ With ‘MAGNE-TRACTION’, ” an envelope detailing contents like “25 UNCOUPLING TRACK SECTION” and an “INSTRUCTION SHEET, ” and a small plastic bottle of “LIONEL SMOKE PELLETS.” C8-9.
