Description
This vintage O-27 gauge steam freight train set is identified as Set No. 1555WS, manufactured by The Lionel Corporation of New York, N.Y. The group consists of a steam locomotive, tender, and four pieces of rolling stock, along with their individual packaging and the master set box. The No. 2035 steam locomotive is a 2-6-4 wheel configuration constructed from die-cast metal, featuring a smoke chamber and the number 2035 printed on the cab. It is paired with a No. 6026W tender made of black plastic, marked Lionel Lines and equipped with an internal air whistle. The rolling stock included in this set features a No. 6511 pipe car with a brown sheet-metal flatcar body carrying five silver-colored plastic pipes; a No. 646825 New Haven automobile car in orange plastic with black double doors; a No. 6468 Baltimore and Ohio automobile car in blue plastic with blue double doors; and a No. 6357 Southern Pacific caboose in red plastic. The set includes the original large master set box No. 1555WS and worn individual component boxes for the locomotive, tender, all freight cars, and a UCS remote control track set.
