Description
This group lot features four vintage O gauge model train accessories manufactured by The Lionel Corporation. The collection includes a No. 128 Animated Newsstand, a No. 132 Illuminated Station, a No. 334 Dispatching Board, and a No. 460 Piggy Back Transportation Set. Each item is accompanied by its corresponding original cardboard box. The No. 128 Animated Newsstand is constructed of plastic with a green-painted roof and a light gray base. It includes a news vendor figure behind a counter stocked with various magazine covers and a separate figure of a man with a newspaper and a dog. The No. 132 Illuminated Station is a suburban passenger station featuring a white clapboard-textured plastic body, green-painted windows and doors, and a green hipped roof. It is mounted on a maroon platform base. The No. 334 Dispatching Board is an animated accessory with a tan plastic base. One side displays an advertisement for Airex fishing equipment and a Lionel Travel Center. The reverse features a green Bulletin of Arrivals and Departures board and a station attendant figure. The No. 460 Piggy Back Transportation Set includes a gray plastic loading ramp, a red tractor unit, two green Lionel Trains trailers, and a red No. 3460 die-cast metal flatcar. The boxes are marked with respective catalog numbers and manufacturer information. Several original paper bags containing parts or instruction sheets are included.
