Description
This is a LEGO City Cargo Train set, number 7939, originally released in 2010. The core of the set is a yellow and black locomotive, which is accompanied by three specialized freight cars: an Octan fuel tanker, a container wagon with a red container, and a car transporter wagon carrying two small automobiles (one blue and one white). Additional builds include a large green gantry crane with an operator’s cab and a red cargo truck with a yellow LEGO-branded container.
The set is designed for use on the included track system, which consists of 8 straight tracks, 16 curved tracks, 16 flexible track sections, and 2 switching tracks (one left and one right). The electronic components are not present. The set includes a complete sequence of six original instruction booklets, numbered 1 through 6, covering each of the sub-models. The pieces have been disassembled and sorted into three large zip-top bags. The set does not include LEGO Power Functions technology for motorized, remote-controlled operation.
Condition report:
This set is in used condition, having been previously assembled and disassembled for storage. It is not factory-sealed. The electronic Power Functions components, including the motor and remote control are not included. The original retail box is included and shows visible shelf wear, particularly scuffing and softening at the corners and edges. The instruction manuals are present and show expected handling wear.
