Description
This lot consists of two vintage LEGO Star Wars building sets, each accompanied by its original retail box and instruction manual. The first set is LEGO 8017, Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter, released as an Exclusive Anniversary Edition marking the 10th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars theme (1999-2009). The second set is LEGO 7869, Battle for Geonosis, issued as a Special Edition. Has a piece count of 331 and lists five minifigures: Luminara Unduli, Captain Rex, one Super Battle Droid, and two Battle Droids. Both sets feature mechanical components and projectile mechanisms as depicted on the packaging. The components for each set are disassembled and housed in individual clear plastic zip-top bags marked with the corresponding set numbers.
Condition report:
Both sets are in a disassembled state. The original retail boxes have been opened and exhibit moderate shelf wear, including edge scuffing, corner compression, and surface creasing. The box for set 8017 shows minor tearing at the closure tabs. The printed instruction manuals are present and show light signs of handling wear but remain intact. The original owner, an adult collector, was organized and careful to keep all the sets complete.
