Description
A vintage Lionel O Gauge model train set, specifically the 1977 Service Station Special Set Number 6-1766. This limited edition set features Baltimore and Ohio (B&O) Budd Commuter Train Cars and consists of three illuminated units. The set includes one powered RDC-4 combination baggage/mail car, designated as number 8766, and two RDC-1 80-passenger cars, designated as number 8767. The cars are constructed with plastic bodies and feature die-cast metal trucks and chassis. The items are housed in their original cardboard shipping box, which bears the Lionel logo and identifies the manufacturer as Fundimensions, a division of General Mills Fun Group, Inc., located in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. The exterior of the box features a large white graphic label with illustrations of the Budd cars and technical specifications. Various markings are present on the box, including a Stone Container Corporation box certificate stamp from Detroit, Michigan, and several stamped or handwritten inventory numbers such as 1428 and 1766. sealed in box
